DayOne files for US IPO, plans Nasdaq listing
The Singapore-headquartered data centre operator reported a US$81.9 million first-half net loss, while revenue reached US$512 million.

DayOne Data Centers submitted its US initial public offering filing on Oct 5 to the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Singapore-headquartered company expects to list American depositary shares on Nasdaq using the symbol DODC.
Bloomberg News previously reported that DayOne made a confidential filing in August and could seek up to US$5 billion from the IPO, with a valuation of around US$20 billion. Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America Securities and Citigroup are leading the offering.
The filing showed revenue of US$512 million for the six-month period ending June 30, alongside a US$81.9 million net loss. For the equivalent period a year earlier, revenue was US$151.5 million and the net loss was US$13.5 million.
In June, DayOne completed a Series C round worth US$4.5 billion. Its largest shareholders, Coatue Management and Hillhouse, led the funding, which also brought in Achi Capital Partners and the Indonesian Investment Authority as new investors.
Established in 2022, DayOne has obtained capacity bookings exceeding 1.5 gigawatts across Asia-Pacific and Europe. Its filing lists operating or planned data centres in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, Finland and Spain.
The business adopted the DayOne name in 2025, having previously operated as GDS International, an international affiliate of Chinese operator GDS. GDS remains an investor, alongside other backers including SoftBank Vision Fund and Citadel founder Ken Griffin.
