Thirteen Vietnamese banks received Citi's 2025 Straight Through Processing (STP) Award at its Financial Institutions Conference, which took place on October 13 in Ho Chi Minh City and October 14 in Hanoi. Citi said all winners achieved STP rates of 99.43 per cent or higher.

Awards went to ACB, Agribank, BIDV, Eximbank and HDBank, as well as MB, Sacombank, SHB and Techcombank. TPBank, Vietcombank, VietinBank and VPBank completed the group of recipients.

Citi said the award evaluates how financial institutions in Vietnam process cross-border payments. Its assessment considers straight-through processing performance alongside the standard of routine payment operations and the professionalism shown in carrying them out.

The conference brought together Vietnamese financial-sector leaders and professionals. Its agenda included payments operating around the clock, Citi Token Services, liquidity management and developments in trade finance. It also covered the increasing use of AI and data in banking, changing financial crime risks and regulatory developments.
