PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk. (BTPS) plans to spend a maximum of Rp1 trillion repurchasing its shares. The bank submitted the proposal at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on 13 October 2026.

The bank said the planned buyback aims to deliver long-term value for shareholders and bolster market confidence in its fundamentals.

BTPN Syariah director Arief Ismail said the bank was balancing business growth and risk management with efforts to optimise shareholder value. In a statement cited on 14 October 2026, he described the proposal as an expression of confidence in the bank’s fundamentals and long-term prospects.

Arief said the bank’s strong capital position left it able to pursue its growth strategy while creating value for shareholders. The bank said it would carry out the repurchases cautiously, taking business needs into account and observing governance principles and applicable laws.

BTPN Syariah recorded net profit of Rp655 billion for the first half of 2026, an increase of 1.7 per cent from a year earlier.
