PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) says it will buy back shares during 19–21 October 2026, with all employees barred from transactions involving the bank’s stock over those dates.

President Commissioner Jahja Setiaatmadja verified the buyback information after it circulated among market participants. CNBC Indonesia reported his confirmation on 19 October 2026.

In its notice, BCA said the employee prohibition was based on Article 43 of Financial Services Authority Regulation No. 29 of 2023, which concerns repurchases of shares issued by public companies. The ban applies throughout the announced buyback period.

BCA also outlined which dealings fall under the restriction. It covers activities or contracts involving the acquisition, disposal or use of shares. The bank said the scope is not confined to transactions resulting in a change of ownership; activities without an ownership transfer are prohibited as well.
