Bank Islam advises delaying BIMB Mobile update on Android 17
Customers experiencing problems after installing version 2.10.1 have been advised to reinstall the app, while the bank investigates.

Customers running Android 17 should wait before installing BIMB Mobile version 2.10.1, Bank Islam said after finding a compatibility problem with that version of its banking app. The advice remains in place until the bank confirms the problem has been resolved.
For those who have installed the update and encountered difficulties, the bank’s latest advice is to remove BIMB Mobile from their devices, then install it again. Bank Islam said this step should restore access to banking services within the app.
The bank is investigating what caused the issue and considering the measures needed to address it. It has given no estimate for when a fix might be ready, but said further information would follow as it becomes available.
Before recommending reinstallation, Bank Islam had suggested BIMB Web as a temporary option for transactions by customers who had already updated. The bank also apologised for the inconvenience.
