Semrush’s 2026 AI Visibility Index analyzed 126 million U.S. AI search prompts, reflecting how quickly brand discovery is moving beyond traditional search alone. Separate Semrush consumer research found that 43% of surveyed U.S. consumers had discovered a brand through AI, while 40% searched Google for more information after an AI tool mentioned a brand or product.
