Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Apr 7, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) - https://www.cor.pa.gov/community-reentry/Pages/default.aspx hosts its inaugural Resource Hub Event and Women's History Month Celebration Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 11 am to 2 pm at Calvary Christian Church located at 6000-6038 East Roosevelt Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19149. All Returning Citizens' their friends, families, advocates, and supporters are invited to attend.
The mission of the Citizens Advisory Committee for Probation and Parole is to improve the probation and parole experience by building, understanding, and enhancing lines of communication among the individuals, groups, and systems involved with or impacted by the probation/parole system. CAC has recruited and retained citizen volunteers whose diversity is reflective of their communities. Join them, along with various Reentry groups, community organizations and City and State Agencies as they showcase resource providers for employment, housing, childcare, food, and clothing. #HelpUsBuild is our mantra. Parole/Department of Corrections recognizes that citizen volunteers add value to probation and parole supervision by augmenting and enhancing community engagement.
In keeping with Women's History Month celebrations, CAC #HelpUsBuild will be honoring with Outstanding Service Awards two champions in the fight for helping women with criminal histories, Tonie Willis, CEO, Ardella's House and Tracie Johnson, Esquire, Community Legal Services, Employment Unit.
