Born and raised in North Miami Beach, Johnathan attended North Miami Beach High School. Serving as team captain as a senior, he was named to the Miami Herald All-Dade and District 12-6A first-team. He received an athletic scholarship to attend Florida International University (FIU), where he played for the FIU Panthers football team from 2009 to 2012.
Originally drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars 33rd overall in the 2013 NFL Draft, Johnathan became the highest draft pick in FIU's school history. He then went on to play for the Tennessee Titans, the Philadelphia Eagles, the Atlanta Falcons, and the San Francisco 49ers.
An NFL Veteran, Jonathan founded Inside the Cage, whose mission is to build strategic partnerships with companies and organizations that provide mentorship and employment opportunities to all student-athletes during and after college.
Inside the Cage has also started their very own non-profit organization called Panther Territory, which focuses on education in financial literacy, mental health, and the betterment of local communities through sports. Student-athletes have the opportunity to host and run sports camps at local schools and organizations, all funded by Panther Territory.
Now holding an active real estate license in the state of Florida, Jonathan attributes his success to his willingness to win and outstanding mentorship. He supplements his football earnings by investing in real estate, owning more than a dozen properties in Nashville, Jacksonville, and Miami areas.
